Off to Kindergarten

Today was Colby's first day of Kindergarten! I still can't believe it! He turned 5 yesterday and now is off to school. Colby has been excited about starting Kindergarten but a little nervous too. I walked him into school this morning and to his class. I tried to hold his hand but he wouldn't let me...I guess that is embarrassing already! I started getting a little teary eyed as we walked up to the school. He looked so little going into such a big school. He told me in the car that he wasn't going to talk today. He would only talk outside on the playground. We walked into his class and his teacher greeted him and he did what he said...he didn't say a word! I told his teacher he said he wasn't going to talk today and she told him that was alright, he didn't have to talk today if he didn't want to. He sat down in the seat where his name was displayed and started coloring. I said goodbye and walked out to the car....and cried. He is growing up so fast and that makes me sad sometimes. I know he will love school and do well.

Stephanie is BACK!

One of my best friends has been in Japan for the last 6 years and she has finally returned to America! I was so excited to see her! The last time she came to visit was when I was pregnant with Carson. Colby loved having her here then, but that was almost 3 years ago so he didn't remember her. She drove in from Houston on Thursday night and stayed for the weekend. It was so nice having her visit. Colby and Carson adored her and wouldn't leave her side! We shopped, went to a movie, and went out to the Texas Gaylord while she was here. The boys can't wait for her to come back again!

Where has the summer gone?!?!

I had planned to keep up with my blog during the summer because I would finally have the time, but obviously that hasn't happened! I can't believe how fast the summer has gone by! I only have two more weeks of summer vacation. I loved having the summer off and spending so much time with Colby and Carson...although some days I was close to losing my mind! We have had lots of fun. We stayed busy with swimming lessons, story time at the library, water parks, pools, playing with friends, visiting Old Mimi, visiting Papa when he was in the hospital and lots of other things that weren't very exciting. Here are some pictures of our fun times!
