Today was Colby's first day of Kindergarten! I still can't believe it! He turned 5 yesterday and now is off to school. Colby has been excited about starting Kindergarten but a little nervous too. I walked him into school this morning and to his class. I tried to hold his hand but he wouldn't let me...I guess that is embarrassing already! I started getting a little teary eyed as we walked up to the school. He looked so little going into such a big school. He told me in the car that he wasn't going to talk today. He would only talk outside on the playground. We walked into his class and his teacher greeted him and he did what he said...he didn't say a word! I told his teacher he said he wasn't going to talk today and she told him that was alright, he didn't have to talk today if he didn't want to. He sat down in the seat where his name was displayed and started coloring. I said goodbye and walked out to the car....and cried. He is growing up so fast and that makes me sad sometimes. I know he will love school and do well.

You are SOOOOO much braver than I! I would have been a basket case!! I like watching my kids learn, and can't imagine dropping them off at a school & not knowing what will happen until I get back to pick them up! I guess it's not much different than day care (as far as having to leave them behind), and I am sure you're not missing the tuition payment every week!
